William Wilson IIknown as W.W.II ―  proves what a country boy can do in the ring. This North Carolina native is a professional boxer on the rise.

W.W.II is a quick and calculated fighter who reads his opponents, setting the pace of his fights. A fighter fans love to watch, he has fought several live bouts on television. He’s a real contender, going up against experienced fighters.

Time and again, W.W. II proves he has what it takes to hold his own and to be a champion. “Some boxers have never had a loss. I learn from everything I do, win or lose. If I lost a fight, I actually won if I learned from my mistakes and used the experience to become a better boxer,” WW.II Wilson says.

W.W.II approaches his sport with an open mind and willingness to learn. As a boxer in a “non-boxing” state, he has struggled to find coaches, sparring partners and training facilities. For the past two years he has driven an hour each way, six days a week to practice, often forced to train on his own.  But his dedication to his chosen profession and the support of his family and friends keep him going on his path to be a world champion boxer.

Today he is a married father of three and stepfather of one who says he fights for his family. With a wife who has had significant health challenges for the past two years, at times it has been a true struggle to stick to his dream. But, he keeps on. “My family drives me to want to become a world champion,” he says.

W.W. II comes by his talent honestly. Father Sandy Wilson was European Boxing Champion while in the military. And what skill he did not inherit, he hones with diligent training and a heart and mind committed to his sport.

Training for three to six hours a day, W.W.II understands that physical conditioning must be combined with mental preparedness for success as a boxer. “If you have no fear, it’s time to step out of the ring,” he continues, “Fear keeps you sane; fear keeps you safe. Fear gives you the heart to give it your all to win.”

W.W.II has a loyal and growing fan base across the Triangle area of North Carolina. Fans are known to travel across the state to see him fight and gather together each time he is on television.

To support his professional boxing career, W.W.II trains and trains others as a boxing coach at LA Boxing in Cary, NC.
